Contact us.Dimitra Gezerli is a visual artist who primarily expresses herself through sculpture, creating works that balance between the tangible and the intangible, stillness and motion. Her personal vocabulary is shaped by iron and bronze, through minimalist forms that capture human figures—slender, athletic, in a continuous search for inner tension and silent strength. Each of her sculptures feels like a pulsating moment in pause: a form breathing within space.
Born in Athens and raised in Corinth, she now lives and works in Patras, while devoting her summers to Methoni, Messinia—a place of inspiration, reflection, and artistic production. There, in the silence of the landscape and the light of the Messenian Gulf, she conceives the forms that later transform into her works.
Her multifaceted education enhances her interdisciplinary approach to art. She holds a degree in Civil Engineering and graduated from the School of Architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has a Master’s degree in Environmental Design of Infrastructure Projects and is a PhD candidate at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of the Peloponnese, focusing on the relationship between space, form, and sustainability.
At the same time, physicality and movement play a decisive role in her work. She is a certified Hatha Yoga instructor and a six-time Greek Champion in the Professional Ballroom category. This deep relationship with the body—as a tool of awareness, discipline, and expression—permeates every aspect of her artistic practice.
Her works belong to private collections in Greece, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates. She has presented her work in five solo exhibitions and participated in group shows in Greece and abroad.
Dimitra Gezerli’s sculpture does not merely depict—it creates fields of presence. It is a dialogue between body and space, weight and suspension, silence and pulse.
