Contact us.I developed my practice outside the institutional art system, alongside professional work and family life. I was born in 1982 in Warsaw, where I still live and work today. I am professionally connected with the banking sector, and for many years photography existed in my life as a private and intimate activity before gradually becoming a conscious artistic practice.
My work revolves around the surrealism of everyday life and the subtle relationships between people and urban space. Within the chaos of the city I search for moments that, for a fraction of a second, form a coherent narrative. Although I rely on intuition, I strive for precise composition.
I entered street photography through the need to observe people and their emotional states. I am interested in fleeting signs of inner life. In this perspective the city is not only a stage but also a protagonist, a collective portrait and a record of memory.
For me the city is a space of existential experience. I do not document specific stories but moments of perception, brief epiphanies of daily life. Photography becomes a tool of memory and a quiet resistance to forgetting.
I build my visual language through symbol and emotion rather than event. The resulting images are contemplative and closer to reflection than reportage. My work belongs to poetic street photography, balanced between document and metaphor. It is characterized by irony, visual paradox, unexpected juxtapositions and the treatment of the photograph as a psychological moment rather than an event.
Many of my photographs arise from noticing visual anomalies and subtle humor in seemingly ordinary situations, sometimes from a contradiction between neighboring elements. I often find myself simply raising the camera and trying to connect incompatible forms into a meaningful image.
Light and color play an essential role in my work. They are not additions but equal participants in the photograph.
Within a relatively short time my photographs began to receive recognition in international competitions. I was a finalist of Street Photography Awards 2021, received a special mention in Street Photo Awards for the project "Look Twice", participated in post-competition exhibitions of the Street Photographers Foundation and was a finalist of Fujifilm Moment Street Photo Awards 2024 in Warsaw. My photographs have appeared in catalogs, magazines, exhibitions and international selections of street photography.
