ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I have always created design work in sketches, drawings, doodles and paintings as far back as a young teenager. I wanted to transform my designs into my sculpture, making them more tangible. This is the first sculpture of a collection I have formed into figures. The sculpture itself has a base of fantasy and acrobatics of two figures, in a stylized form. The top figure is in a flying motion, as if she is flying by. The lower figure doing a handstand. The designs of this figure relates partially to the chakras within the body and its energy.
