Inspired by my family's struggle with mental illness, especially depression and anxiety. Each day is a challenge they must face to deal with these symptoms. Even out having fun with friends the uninvited and unwanted guest of anxiety and depression show up. It always feels like these symptoms are waiting in the wings to disrupt. It takes hard work and therapy to help cope with this. I used newspaper strips in areas to create texture and shapes.
