ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This abstract is an exploration of relationship between color and texture. Patches of bright red and gold fight for attention with a light foreground. I have layered the colors with a palette knife, adding depth to the artwork and textural variation that changes with change of viewing point. Copper and gold shimmer with light, but otherwise stay hidden in between the layers of beige and white. The painting has been done on a standard 3/4 stretched canvas, signed at the back. It will come varnished and ready to hang with a hanging hook attached.
