Biografia
Artist Biography
Davor Ciglar lives and works between Perugia and Montepulciano, Italy. His artistic practice moves across painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation, exploring the relationship between form, matter, space, and inner experience.
After a classical education, in the early 1990s he began an in-depth study of Eastern thought and disciplines, particularly Ayurveda, Sanskrit, and Vedic literature. This experience became a significant foundation for the philosophical and intellectual dimension of his artistic research.
His practice has also extended into theatre and opera, through the creation of sets and costumes, enriching his exploration of space, materiality, and the relationship between the artwork and its environment.
In recent years, he has returned to the study of Eastern disciplines, revisiting and deepening a path that has remained an important source of inspiration throughout his artistic journey.
