When I was young my grandmother brought me to the Rockefeller Center at Christmas time in the evening to see the huge famous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, the ice skating rink and lo and behold were all the large than life Toy Soldiers playing drums, the trumpet, tamborine and it amazed me to see all the decorations laid out. Here's my rendition of the bugler decked out in his fine uniform. I used sequins to bring the gold sparkle and lights. I never knew it was a tourist spot...to me it's just how New York City is at Christmas time.
