About The Artwork
In this oil painting, I wanted to show the joy of a child playing an ancient game. The bright colours instil energy and wonder, while the central figure blends into an imaginary garden. I covered up a painting of a bouquet of lilies that I wasn't happy with. I wanted to depict a little girl hidden in a garden, a bit like Alice in Wonderland. I think this painting can bring a breath of life and mischievous charm to any space.
