In this intimate black and white self-portrait, I explore the delicate boundary between vulnerability and concealment. The figure is captured from behind, a gesture of retreat from the external gaze, while a diaphanous black veil acts as a fragile sanctuary. The tension in the hand clutching the fab...

Contact us.My photography consists almost exclusively of self-portraits. I do not trust the mirror—it lies, reflecting a distorted reality that I cannot recognize. I trust the camera: its click is dry, sincere, and captures the only version of me that the world truly sees. My art is a struggle between the captor and the prisoner, an exploration of the exhaustion that comes from hiding one's flaws. To hide is to be weary; my work is the moment I stop hiding. My canvases depict doors, windows... they are not escape routes, but a vain hope of fleeing: from whom? From myself... behind their thresholds, monsters, demons, and memories appear that just won't let me go. I paint a body that is never perfect; I paint it like this: on the canvas, even if in reality it might not be quite so, I never see my body as it should be. I paint wars, their despair... those far away and those, infinite, that explode within me
