Diptych, Bas-relief, Diameter of each circle - 48cm Particleboard, acrylic, gold enamel, author's technique. 2020. Circulation of 5 copies. (You can also purchase a diptych of two circles - the Sun and the Moon). The sun is an ancient and very important symbol in many mythologies. It will mark the beginning of a new day and personify the dawn. The work looks spectacular due to the fact that it is located at a distance of 2 cm from the wall and creates a shadow creating a volumetric effect. The elements are cut out on a chipboard manually by woodcarvers. The sun and moon are painted with chromed gold enamel and tinted over black paint. Gold paint glistens when exposed to light or sunlight. The background is painted matte black creating a contrast between the brilliance and the depth of dark tones. The work has mounting rails on the back side as well as metal brackets for hanging. This diptych has a circulation of 5 copies, each of which is made by hand. I am always inspired by the theme of space. It was written about in ancient religious and scientific books, and various theories have been put forward. Nowadays, space exploration continues and we are approaching an understanding of the world order. For me, space is an example of the relativity of the world. For me, this is an occasion to think about our origin. Where did we come from and where are we going?
