The Mirror series This is a mirror. What you see and feel depends on the situation. Believe in your senses. About the Mirror series. it's not about expressing something in collage, but about collaging pieces of paper cut in almost the same shape, one by one, based on the feelings at that moment. It's a geometric arrangement, but the perceived shapes change at a glance. In childhood, looking at wood grain or cloud shapes, playing conversations like, "It looks like a fish! It looks like a bird! It has a face and it's scary!" I believe many people engaged in such playful conversations naturally. That playfulness is pure creativity. At that moment, a person's emotions, physical condition, time of day, and events of the day alter what you see, what disappears, and what you feel. It's the "mirror" of that person at that moment. This perspective is the basis of my other works, but expressed in collage, it becomes the "Mirror Series." I would be delighted if you could feel the sense of "play" in this artwork. Painted with acrylic gouache on Japanese traditional paper. Collage on canvas. You can hang it. Signed on reverse side. *The actual item may appear slightly more vibrant than the screen color. Depending on the monitor environment, the actual product's color may appear slightly different.

When I "express" something, I let myself be free, let my thoughts sink down and return to nothingness, and express shapes, colors, and movements based on my five senses and the unconsciousness = the information I have accumulated in my life so far. For example, hearing sounds, smelling trees, people, animals, inorganic objects... It is reacted to and drawn out by all kinds of things. I then feel the "shape, color, and movement" from the sensations and emotions that emerge at that moment, and without deciding on a finished image, I create in the way I feel at the time, the method I want to express and be. The "object" produced is a mirror and record of "me" at that moment. I also believe that the feelings and discoveries of the "viewer" are also a mirror of that person at that moment. The colors and shapes that interest me change depending on the combination of emotions, circumstances, and time. This kind of freedom is similar to the feeling I had when I was a child playing with the shapes of clouds to see what they looked like, and I believe it is something very important, like the pure "creativity" that everyone has. In order to express this, I still feel it is important to be free, pure, and honest about what comes up in the moment.
