In this picture, the female face repeats like being mechanically stamped. Under each of the prints there is a different content, or rather a suggestion of content, marked with excerpts from newspaper text and photos. As if every instance of the print the face wanted to say something different. Stay the same person, but appear differently. Be a multiplication of ourselves. We operate in life like this. Women are predestined (popular belief) to fulfill many roles. If only because they are mothers. In modern society, women got many new functions. Some of them won by themselves. The long list of "must" and "should" directs a woman's complicated life. The intense red background color of the image indicates that the subject is hot. The pink aura around the heads resembles one unchanging fact - that a woman is and should stay be a beautiful object. Andy Warhol’s works were full of this type of repetition and became famous. People like to see again things they know. It is easier to recognize than to get to know. But at the same time, repetition can be boring. Visual artists can play with this issue. Color and compositional changes help them to make it attractive, and appealing. So, we make boring-attractive repetitions. As it is in life.

I am an artist from Poland. Living in Sweden. I am working with oil, acrylic, and mixed techniques on paper, drawing, and graphics. Oil on canvas dominates my work. Figurative compositions and landscape motives are two themes of the same importance to me. In both, I want to convey the feeling of space. Space is a symbol of everything which is beyond the reality of our senses. I would like that my paintings are full of meaning. I want my paintings to be ambiguous so that they do not convey something directly, that they intrigue the viewer and invite them to think and interpret individually my pictures. For some years I am the owner of my own graphics press, which is located in a graphic studio in my home in Sweden, where I live now. Summer is a period of hard work for me - works on paper are being created. I paint paintings in Warsaw. I have been living in this rhythm of artistic work for several years. Time goes by and my art is changing. The question of where it will lead me is always up to date. You are welcome to visit my website:
