Born in 1970 in São Paulo, Brazil, I am a visual artist whose practice moves between drawing, oil painting, and mixed media, alongside a professional background in medicine with a focus on vision. My relationship with art began in childhood and has remained a constant presence throughout my life. Drawing and painting have always been a parallel language — a space of observation, introspection, and expression that developed naturally over time. Working primarily with charcoal, pastel, colored pencils, oil paint, and mixed media on paper and canvas, my work centers on the human figure, the eye, and emotional states. My training in ophthalmology informs a heightened sensitivity to perception, detail, and the subtle ways in which seeing shapes emotional experience. Through light, shadow, and layered textures, my images explore vulnerability, silence, and intensity, creating a dialogue between scientific precision and intuitive expression. Each piece invites the viewer to slow down, observe closely, and engage with the emotional presence of the image.
