Indigo Innards Painting

If I was the World and you opened me up this is what I imagine it to be. It is a direct expression of what I feel are my inside workings on a global scale. That is, in alignment with nature and the world. It exhibits a complex layering system of growth and movement with no structure other than its own. It is deep dark layered complex and constricted. there is a feeling of tension and compactedness. I felt this in awareness with the issues we face regarding the planet. the lines. In my line drawings i think of them as self perpetuating organic machinery. This one however directly came out of a feeling of tension. Followed by the downtown LA piece where the tension was released into and outer expression. Rather than this constricted one. I imagine the viewer to be sucked in by its dark depth and flowing layers. there is a sensual nature like skin and the shapes are that of the earths growing movement within an original form. This is intriguing as it is familiar yet completely novel.
