ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I found an interestingly skinny piece of live-edge cherry. I had taken some photos of dead trees in B.C., and the shape of one of the photos looked excellent on the cherry. As I routed out the shape on one side of the cherry, a view of the finished piece came into focus. The "B" side, as it were, fell into place. I found a suitable maple stump to set the piece into.
