About The Artwork

RUBAN ROUGE 1 is part of a series of ten paintings on the theme of the red ribbon. I wanted to work on abstraction with a constraint that is common to these different tables. I like to be free in my creation while having a framework because then I am much more imaginative and productive. The Red Ribbons have been very suitable for responding to this way of looking at abstraction, my abstract expression. These achievements speak volumes as a decorative element. They place themselves very easily in a stay or an office and bring modernity and gaity to the room that will welcome them. The in situ photos illustrate this perfectly.

In 2012 I reconnect with painting ! 50 years have passed. I took care of a husband, a family of 4 children, a professional life, art through contemporary dance and the music that I practiced in a choir and in all that painting point ! No time. Visiting exhibitions, going to museums keeps me in touch with fine arts. And then 2012, I find myself alone brutally. The children are independent, I find personal time, I first go back to watercolor and drawing. I move to Toulouse and my new companion pushes me to enter a workshop. I experiment with various techniques and acrylic meets my expectations: spontaneity, soup, speed, freedom of creation. From then on I work in an emergency. The years occupied by the development of my family do not catch up but those which are before me offer me answers to my thirst for creation and personal expression. Work, work and more work leads me to show my paintings and in 2016 I show timidly. In 2017 a great opportunity offered to me (see below) and I became professional in early 2019. Today I assert myself, my identity is starting to be recognized and I wish to continue the beautiful relationship that I have with an audience sensitive to my universe.
